Mejillones Gratinados
"Spanish Gratinated Mussels Recipe"
These gratinated mussels - Mejillones Gratinados - are first cooked shortly to open up the shells, then the shells are split and the mussels are covered with a thin layer of savoury gratin, whereafter these easy appetizers are baked off in the oven.
These mussels tapas from the oven are a beautiful variation on the theme called mussels. And you can easily make these Spanish mussels yourself! That is, if you do have an oven... (Sorry Mike! ;o)
